The purpose of our technician intern program is to provide our interns with meaningful work and resources to refine their technical skills so that they may serve as a robust candidate pool utilized to meet our entry-level, full-time needs. Our organization is seeking an Operations Intern to assist in the operation, inspection, maintenance and repair of equipment on selected natural gas transmission systems: compression, encroachments, ROW management including-pipeline marking and clear line of sight, measurement, pigging and cathodic protection.
Responsibilities include: (successful candidate may be assisting a qualified technician for any of the tasks listed below)
natural gas measurement
test/calibrate over pressure protection (relief valves)
test atmosphere to ensure safety for personnel and work being performed
completing maintenance records, service reports and other required documents
perform core pipeline maintenance tasks
Must be currently enrolled and have completed one semester of the Heavy Equipment Technician program at College of Western Idaho
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a valid state drivers’ license with an excellent driving record
Must be able to work in and around all types work environments
Good computer skills a plus
