St. Luke’s Health System has an exciting opportunity for a Radiation Safety Director to join our leadership team in Boise, Idaho!

The Radiation Safety Director acts in the capacity of the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) through the official Delegation of Authority from the CEO of St. Luke's Health System, as required by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and documented in the signed RSO agreement. The Director establishes a radiation protection program which is consistent with a culture of safety, St. Luke's core values, and regulatory requirements of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Food and Drug Administration, the Idaho Bureau of Radiation Control, The America College of Radiology, the Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies.

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Education: Master's of Science in Physics, Medical Physics, Nuclear Engineers or other related physical science degree.

  • Experience: 7 years of experience in medical physics.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the ABR, ABMP or equivalent certifying board.
